How We Verify UK Pharmacies

Every pharmacy listed on MedEazy is independently verified against the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) public register before being included in our price comparison tool. We check that each provider holds a valid GPhC registration number, is authorised to dispense prescription medicines online, and is in good standing at the time of listing. Listings are reviewed regularly to ensure continued compliance. We do not accept payment for placement — every pharmacy is listed on the same independent basis.

What is Foundayo (Orforglipron)?

Foundayo is a once-daily oral tablet containing orforglipron, a small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist approved by the MHRA on 10 August 2026 — making the UK the first country in Europe to license it. Unlike injectable weight-loss medicines such as Mounjaro or Wegovy, Foundayo works exclusively on GLP-1 receptors and can be taken at any time of day, with or without food or water.

Who is it for?

Foundayo is licensed for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27–30 with at least one weight-related health condition such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol, alongside diet and exercise changes. A clinical assessment and valid prescription are required — it cannot be purchased over the counter.

Dosing

Treatment starts at 0.8mg once daily and is increased in steps — 2.5mg, 5.5mg, 9mg and 14.5mg — up to a maximum of 17.2mg, at intervals of at least one month depending on tolerability and clinical response. Foundayo is not currently available on the NHS; private UK pricing is expected later in August 2026 and will be compared here as soon as it's published.

  • Yes — Foundayo (orforglipron) is a prescription-only medicine. A clinical assessment with a UK-registered prescriber is required before it can be supplied.
  • Foundayo is a once-daily tablet, not an injection. It's a small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist that can be taken at any time of day without food or water restrictions, whereas Mounjaro and Wegovy are weekly injections.
  • Not currently. Foundayo is expected to be available privately first, similar to other GLP-1 weight-loss medicines, with any future NHS pathway to be confirmed.
